Monotype
Every Friday from 2pm to 4pm!
Monotype is a spontaneous technique in which you draw on a piece of paper and the trace you leave gives you an image on the reverse side.
This process allows you to create unique works by applying ink to a surface and transferring the trace to paper. Monotype involves working on a clean, unetched plate. This is an opportunity for you to experiment with this simple transfer technique.
Drawings, sketches or photocopies of your own ideas can be used as a guide.

Gelli Plate Print

Do you like to experience a planned or spontaneous approach to this printmaking method? In this workshop you will learn the basic technique of reverse printing. You will use a flexible gelatine based plate to create textures and layered prints.
This technique is popular in mixed media and printmaking because of its simplicity, versatility and ability to create unique prints with a variety of effects.
